IdentityI am fascinated by objects. I appreciate design where form follows function. Keeping in mind that most of the objects of my fascination are conceptualized ergonomically, I usually perform the role of a creator--by de-constructing them. Every object possesses a function and is based on a history of unique necessity.
?Through my assemblages, I try to transform that object’s history and function
and create something so irrelevant that even though this new thing possesses an entirely different existence in context to its being, it is an absurd anomaly.

In my assemblages, I validate the absurd existence of my objects by fabricating humor and making symbolic puns. I feel one has to exploit humor in order to negotiate with our overwhelming human condition. And it is through humor that we can afford to lessen the weight of our being. In my work, humor is not mockery but a standpoint from which I pose serious questions.

A fascination with objects, an empathy for humor, a comprehension of metaphors, and an isolation of the absurd, are the units that amalgamate my art. These discourses have often created an ambiguous space, open to interpretation. The nature of these transformed objects is such that while
it may seem that my symbolic juxtapositions demand a unique interpretation, in fact, they tend to become both playful and anomalous at once.
