Since I have started with my yoga journey, I have observed one common health concern amongst corporate employees who work on the laptop for continuous hours is neck pain and shoulder stiffness. So to reach out to all corporate employees and who can refer later to practice on their own, I am detailing the specific asanas which employees can practice to relieve the stress.
The most crucial aspect of Yoga is concentration. So while practising all asanas employees should focus on the part of the body being stretched or getting impacted.
1. Neck Movements ( Griva Sanchalana ): Up - Center - Down and Left - centre-right are two neck movement asana to relieve neck strain and stress.
Slow Neck Rotation ( clockwise and Anti clockwise ) is the second most effective asana. The entire focus should be on slow movement and the neck movement.
2. Shoulder movement ( Kandharasana ): Up Down, shoulder lift should be done slowly and no jerk while up and down motion. Shoulder rotation is done by merely rotating land in full circle motion one by one and then together. It should also be done clockwise and anticlockwise direction.
Elbow rotation is done by folding hands and touching the shoulder by fingers while touching both hand elbows. Now rotate slowly in clockwise and then anticlockwise direction.
Practising these above asanas twice daily can help reduce neck and upper shoulder stiffness and feeling relaxed.
