you can use the "Wingdings 2" font to insert tally marks:

1. Select the cell where you want to insert the tally mark.

2. Change the font of the cell to "Wingdings 2".

3. Type a lowercase "l" (the letter "L") to insert a single tally mark.

   Each time you type a lowercase "l", it will insert a tally mark in the cell
