B - Do you know what time it is?

A – Sure. It’s 10:30 PM.

B - What did you say?

A – I said it’s 10:30.

B – Thank you.

A – You’re Welcome.

Lesson – 2 (Asking Directions)

A – Hi Sanjeev.

B – Hi Deepak. What’s up?

A – I am looking for the airport. Can you tell me how to get there?

B – No, Sorry. I don’t know.

A – I think I can take the subway to the airport. Do you know where the subway is?

B – Sure, it’s over there.

A – Where, I don’t see it.

B – Across the street.

A – Oh, I see it now. Thanks.

B – No problem.

A – Do you know if there’s a restroom around here?

B – Yes, there’s one here. It’s in the store.

A – Thank you.

B – Bye.

A – Bye Bye.

Lesson – 3 (Do you speak English)

A – Excuse me, are you American?

B – No.

A – Do you speak English?

B – A little, but not very well.

A – How long have you been here?

B – 2 months.

A – What do you do for work?

B – I’m a student. How about you?

A – I’m a student too.

Lesson – 4 (Where are you from?)

A – Hello.

B – Hi.

A – How are you?

B – I’m good. How are you?

A – Good. Do you speak English?

B – A little. Are you American?

A – Yes.

B – Where are you from?

A – I’m from California.

B – Nice to meet you.

A – Nice to meet you too.

Lesson – 5 (That’s too Late)

A – Sanjeev, Would you like to get something to eat with me?

B – Ok. When?

A – At 10 O’clock.

B – 10 in the morning?

A – No, at night.

B – Sorry, that’s too late. I usually go to bed around 10:00PM.

A – Ok, How about 1:30PM?

B – No, That’s too early. I’ll still be at work then.

A – How about 5PM?

B – That’s fine.

A – Ok, see you then.

B – Alright. Bye.

Lesson – 6 (I’m Hungry)

A – Hi Sanjeev, How are you?

B – Fine, How are you doing?

A – I’m fine.

B – What do you want to do?

A – I’m hungry. I would like to eat something.

B – Where do you want to go?

A – I would like to go to an Italian restaurant.

B – What kind of Italian food do you like?

A – I like spaghetti. Do you like spaghetti?

B – No, I don’t, but I like pizza.

Lesson  - 8 (Choosing a time to meet)

A – Sanjeev, Would you like to have dinner with me?

B – Yes, That would be nice. When do you want to go?

A – Is today Ok?

B – Sorry, I can’t go today.

A – How about tomorrow night?

B – Ok. What time?

A – Is 9:00PM all right?

B – I think that’s too late.

A – Is 6:00PM ok?

B- Yes, That’s good. Where would you like to go?

A – The Italian restaurant on 5th Street.

B – Oh, I don’t like that restaurant. I don’t want to go there.

A – How about the Korean restaurant next to it?

B – Ok, I like that place.

Lesson – 9 (When do you want to go?)

A – Hi Sanjeev.

B – Hi

A – What are you planning to do today?

B – I am not sure yet.

A – Would you like to have lunch with me?

B – Yes. When?

A – Is 11:30AM Ok?

B – Sorry, I didn’t hear you. Can you say that again please?

A – I said, 11:30AM.

B – Oh, I’m busy then. Can we meet a little later?

A – Ok, how about 12:30PM.

B – Ok. Where?

A – How about Bill’s sea food restaurant?

B – oh, where is that?

A – It’s on 7th street.

B – Ok, I will meet you there.

Lesson – 10 (Ordering food)

A – Hello Sir, welcome to the French Garden restaurant. How many?

B – One.

A – Right this way. Please have a seat. Your waitress will be with you in a moment.

A – Hello Sir, would you like to order now?

B – Yes please.

A – What would you like to drink?

B – What do you have?

A – We have bottled water , juice and coke.

B – I’ll have a bottle of water please.

A – What would you like to eat?

B – I’ll have a tuna fish sandwich and a bowl of vegetable soup.

Lesson – 11 (Now or later?)

A – Sanjeev, Where are you going?

B – I’m going to the store. I need to buy something.

A – Really? I need to go to the store too.

B – Would you like to come with me?

A – Yeah, let’s go together.

B – Would you like to go now or later?

A – Now.

B – Ok. Let’s go.

A – Should we walk?

B – No, it’s too far. Let’s drive.

 

 

Lesson – 12 (Do you have enough money?)

A – Sanjeev, What are you going to do today?

B – I’m going shopping.

A – What time are you leaving?

B – I’m going to leave around 4 O’clock.

A – Will you buy a ham sandwich for me at the store?

B – Ok.

A – Do you have enough money?

B – I’m not sure.

A – How much do you have?

B – 25 dollars. Do you think that’s enough?

A – That’s not very much.

B – I think it’s ok. I also have 2 credit cards.

A – Let me give you another ten dollars.

B – Thanks. See you later.

A – Bye.
