I have a nikon d3200. I want to buy a 50mm prime lens but confused between 1.8 g and 1.8 D. Following many suggestions, I understood that a D lens is compatible with d3200 but i cant use autofocus if I'm going to have one. According to my financial constraints, I want to save some money to buy other accessories. Is that a wise decision to keep away auto focus for budget constraints.??

If you are regularly using manual focus with your existing lens and able to get sharp focus then you can go for 1.8D. I would personally suggest you to wait and go for 1.8G. Or you can find a used 1.8G in good condition. Regards, LotusBeam School of Photography

If you are only a learner, then you can try the manual lens, but if you are planning to take photos on some...

I prefer its better to have the option of auto focus. so advice is go for AF-S lenses. read less
