The class is designed to help students of 1st and 2nd year Electrical and Electronics Engineering branches with fundamental understanding of Electrical Engineering. Its a foundational course to cover basics of Electrical Engineering

The course will cover high level view of

1. Sources of Electricity and Electrical current
2. Electrical circuits, componments like resistors and capacitors, most common electric circuit designs
3. Electrical measurements - units and definitions, and the methods of recording these measurements
4. Electrical measurement devices and common lab instruments, Electrical safety considerations in the lab
5. DC and AC currents
6. Overview of Electrical devices like transformers, motors, etc
7. Basic Electronics, P-N Junctions, Diodes
8. Common electronic circuit designs
9. Examples of application of electronic circuits in Instrumentation
10. Overview of Power Eletronics
11. Overview of Control Systems and Linear Integrated Circuits
12. Basics of Digital Electronics and Gates
13. Coomon logical circuit designs
14. Overview of Integrated Circuits

Please note that this course doesn't have any pre-requisites. The course would run for a duration of 10 weeks with 4 hours per week classes.
