I have taught many students from various ICSE school from Mumbai & Bangalore. Most of my students had problem with understanding meanings of words used in literature. Some students were very weak in language, for eg. creative writing essays/paragraph writing; formation of sentences, putting thoughts in order... gradually their doubts got clear. I give them to write more frequently such as random & thought provoking topics, so that they could be able to think. More often, I discuss topics with them those are given by their school and make them to speak more about their own thought on given topic.
