Basically speed is one of the essential aspect in playing harmonium nor keyboard. Appropriate fingerings helps you to overcome the problem of finger slippage which inturn adds beauty to your playing as well as the speed and your fingers starts commanding the keys. Just use appropriate fingerings and practise as slow as you can and gradually increase the speed (only with basic lessons). Do this for n times until you get the command over keys.
