There is lot of material available online about interview tips, what I am going to offer now is something experiential.
Here are 3 things that you should keep in mind while appearing for your next interview: -
- Use SAR (Situation, Action and results) formula for explaining any situation based question, which means you explain situation followed by actions you, took and results that you got. Your focus should be more on results which would create an impression that you are a result oriented person.
- Be on time neither too early nor too late. Being too early would indicate that you are in great need and being late is not a good sign either. Reaching 5 mins before interview is considered ideal.
- Be present on LinkedIn research shows more than 89% of recruiters are looking for ideal candidates on LinkedIn and more than 18% of hiring is done online.
My book "How to get that job" covers these details a little more in detail. Best luck for your next interview.
Be confident be present.
