One essential thing that I have learned in the process of remarkably presenting Myself with the utmost confidence in speaking the English Language and bagging Jobs at top-notched Companies in the World is that you need to listen to yourself read out LOUD! It is the most Effective tip, and I couldn't emphasise it more. This one trick work wonders when you consciously sit-down with yourself and take this lesson as self-help Meditation Every day. All you need to do is to start reading. There is no pressure as to what content to be read and how much of it. The drill is, you do this task every day for an hour consistently, over a deliberate period, you will gain more and more confidence to go out there and converse fluently in English willingly.
I know there is a lot of folk out there who are scared of this task. Who are just not into reading, let alone speaking out in public? Let me remind them all again how simple and easy of a job this is. –
All it needs you to do is grab a Good Book, sit-down somewhere quiet, and read-aloud for an Hour. When you do that, you will start to experience specific changes in your reading and listening skills.
It's not just the reading but also listening and at-last Speaking skills to target this simple task. All you need to do is make sure you have consistent time given to this lesson and try n put a little Heart and Soul into it. Well, I bet you will start putting all your Heart and Soul within a couple of days yourself! The human brain is wired to work on automation most of the time; it is indulged in any motion. Given that, you are training your brain to get used to reading, listening to yourself (self-voice) while reading and adopt this change to its well-owned habit of automation.
We started underlining certain difficult words we come across our read and look up the dictionary (I heard you say Google there :p ) to find its Meaning and how certain words Pronounced.
Start making some notes, notes that you easily understand when you get back to them later.
To start penning your small phrases/Sentences using these words in your daily routine of Conversations.
Once written, rehearse those sentences to get a grip of the speaking notion around them.
Read the same single para at-least seven days in a row before jumping to the next.
Write down the same para in your understanding first, and then take another para or another piece of content/Book.
By the end of the first month of polishing this skill, you will see yourself in the intermediate state of having to do speak-wonders. :P and, all you'll be left with is your own pace and speed to move on the advanced stage of speaking English Fluently going forward.

You can get her some good colourful stationary like crayons and Staedtler pencils and sketch pens and have her do her a- z, numbers and some basic self-introductory phrases like what is your name?!
