The most basic problem that a beginner designer faces is - " From where to start"
Have you ever wondered while starting to design an object to where should I start from or How am I suppose to know which all operation are required to model the object in any CAD software?
I suppose Yes, everyone does and there is nothing to be worried about,
But,The answer lies in "Simplicity"
The answer of the question lies in "Simplicity"
Don't mess up yourself by just looking at the design of the object, just keep it as the way it is used.
Now imagine a conceptualized model of that object which is only made of the basic feature, that is the place to start from
Didn't get it?
Let's take an example
"JUG"
I guess it's a very common object of everyday life
Now if you have to model a JUG completely including its cylindrical body, handle, the nose tip and its lid,
There are soo many features which are to be paid to attention and none can be boycotted.
So now where do we start from?
- Conceptualize the JUG in your mind
- Remove the handle, the lid, the nose tip and all the extra appearance features
What are we left with?
The Cylindrical Body of the Jug
That's it!
This is the base feature, The cylindrical body is the feature upon which all other features are to be used.
Now it's upon the designer what way he/she chooses to model that cylindrical body.
Simple!
All a designer needs is, Imagination and Practice - The Key elements.
