Teaching Experience in detail in Guitar Classes
I started playing guitar in my 11th standard. I was so mesmerized my sound of the guitar that I instantly fell in love with it. My style is heavily inspired by blues, funk, rock and metal. I draw inspirations from Jimmy Hendrix, Albert king, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Megadeth, Lamb of god, Metallica, Joe Pass, etc. I use different teaching styles for various age groups(Below 8, 8-16, 16 and above). In my 4 years of teaching experience, I found that students who are below 8 years of age take a longer time to learn when compared to other age groups. This is due to the fact that their motor skills are still not well developed. it is strongly advisable to join as early as possible (especially below 8) as their learning capabilities are much faster and it helps them improve their concentration and memory power from a small age itself. Teenage students have been the quickest learners and become proficient at the instrument. Adults are usually drawn towards learning film songs. A student who wants to be metal riffer would be taught different from a student who wants to play blues solo. I customize the class based on their interest, purpose for learning and innate talent. Common foundation skill training for the blues course, metal course, funk course, heavy metal course, bollywood course are:- 1)Warm-ups 2)Chords 3)Basic songs 4)Relative major and minor theory 5)Ear training 6)Modal training and comping techniques 7)Chord substitution and inversion theory
