Photoshop is Adobe's photo editing, image creation, and graphic designing software. It is used by many professionals likes Photographers, Graphic Designers, Fashion Designers, Architectural Designers, Video game artists, Advertising designers and many more.
In all these professions they use Photoshop as per their requirement like Photographer will use it to enhance his/her photographs, Fashion designer will use it to create his/her garment design and presentations to impress their clients and so on.

Hi, As i am observing this appilaction since 1993, till today i didn't find any other reliable software like Abobe Photoshop. It keeps on improving year after year according to market need. It's features cover almost each type of industry; means paper to display mediums, 2d to 3d mediums, planning design to construct/build things, film to virtual Reality too. One can master it's specific features for specific need to servive almost full lifespan professionally. ....... if you don't have options to work, you can blindly go for Photoshop. Only you need to check your artistic or creative ability before going for it. Higher the eligiblity, highter the gain !!!
